A drawing that plays

Draw the music.

Draw a line across the page, then hear it turn into piano music. Going up makes higher notes. Add another color and the lines play together.

Start with a tune

Pick a favorite, then draw over it. Choosing a different tune starts a fresh picture.

A melody climbs; a second line joins, then a soft bass arrives.

Pink plays the high melody, purple joins in the middle, teal adds low piano notes. Tap for one note or drag to draw a line. Each line plays when the white cursor crosses it.

Choose a song, add a line, then press Play.

How does a drawing become music?

The white cursor moves left to right like a story being read. Where it meets a colored line, the piano plays a note. Higher marks make higher notes, while long lines hold a sound. Each color has its own set of notes, so you can draw a melody and let other lines join in underneath.

Try Rising Garden first: the pink line climbs, then purple and teal join in. Or choose a short excerpt from a familiar public-domain tune. You can draw over a starter, undo your last stroke, clear the page, and save the picture as a PNG. The music plays only in this browser; the picture does not contain recorded audio.
